The Conservatory 2023 Christmas arrangement at Bellagio titled Land of Sweets, is based on the original stage production set from The Nutcracker's 1892 world premiere performance at the Marlinksy Theatre in St. Petersburg, Russia.
Entrance to The Conservatory is along a decorated walkway that leads through a 25-foot-tall diamond-and-peppermint-encrusted tiara-shaped gazebo. Along the path there are various colored poinsettias and four oversized cupcakes. A large bejeweled crystal chandelier hanging over the gazebo, which is designed to create a sense of timeless elegance and opulence.
A placard near the entrance states: "Step into Land of Sweets, a delectable dreamworld that showcases a visual feast of vibrant colors, glowing lights and sparkling adornments. As you stroll through the walkway, imagine The Nutcracker's joyous celebration scene featuring captivating performances such as the 'Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy' and the 'Waltz of the Flowers.'"
