RonnieAdventkure #0511 - Little Yosemite Valley, Mariposa County, California

Little Yosemite Valley from Glacier Point

There are no roads to some of the most beautiful parts of Yosemite National Park, so in the spring of 1994 I hiked from Glacier Point over to Little Yosemite Valley and then down to Curry Village. From Glacier Point there are spectacular views of Yosemite Valley, Yosemite Falls, Half Dome, and Little Yosemite Valley. (See Blog #0211, July 8, 2016, for a Half Dome RonnieAdventure.)

From Glacier Point there is a well-maintained hiking trail to Little Yosemite Valley that is easy to follow, so trail maps were not needed.

Illlilouette is the first waterfall along the trail. Unfortunately the falls are located down in a canyon and the hike back to the top of the hill was the least enjoyable part of the trip.

BONUS PICTURES

The Bonus Pictures were on the same roll of film as the Yosemite pictures, so they were probably taken in May or June of 1994. The first picture was taken in the Rose Garden at Golden Gate park, followed by wind surfers at Presidio Beach, and exhibits in the Steinhart Aquarium.
