RonnieAdventure #0216 - Southwest British Columbia Part III

There are a number of things to see and do south of Whistler in the Vancouver area, some of which were on my bucket list for a long time.

Shannon Falls is a popular stop near the road and, in addition to the falls, there are several really nice hiking trails in the area.

The salmon fish hatchery is located in a canyon nearby and is a beautiful stop; but, unfortunately, fishing is not allowed!

And there were wild blackberry bushes all over the place that, regrettably, were not ready to eat!

Capilano Suspension Bridge has been a tourist destination since 1889 and an item on my bucket list for a number of years.

Why do people cross the bridge - to get to the Treetops Adventure!

Beautiful waterfalls are found throughout the Vancouver area and Brandywine Falls at 70 metres are no exception! In addition to the falls, the 420 hectar Brandywine Falls Provincial Park contains a variety of hiking and biking trails.

Before leavomg Southwest British Columbia, we spend a day enjoying the activities in Vancouver by visiting China Town, UBC Museum of Anthropology, the totem poles at Stanley Park, and we had a great seafood dinner overlooking the English Bay! Maybe we will make it back to Vancouver someday!
